“Rumble Fish” Re-Visited
For the first time in years, I’ve re-watched “Rumble Fish,” one of two movies directed by Francis Ford Coppola that were based on novels by S. E. Hinton and that were released in 1983. “Rumble Fish” is a very experimental, poetic, black-and-white movie that isn’t to everyone’s taste but that is extremely beautiful. It stars Mickey Rourke before he got too grungy, and Matt Dillon.
