“The Beaver”: The Parody
I’ve liked the movies that Jodie Foster has directed, so I’m not going to prejudge her latest, “The Beaver,” from the official trailer, except to say: WTF with that title? This tale of domestic disharmony stars Foster and Mel Gibson, and, say what you will about Mel’s offscreen offensiveness, he’s still every inch a movie star (though older, but who isn’t?). As for Jodie and Mel’s chemistry as a couple? This one doesn’t look much better than “Maverick.” And, oh, the “Beaver” parody is above.
