Barry & The Boys: Favorite New Word
Last year, Diane Von Furstenberg’s billionaire hubby Barry Diller spent a warm and toasty Thanksgiving vacay in the South Pacific. But he didn’t bring his stylish wife of less then ten years. This was an all boy trip. My favorite thing about it — apart from the photos showing the mogul “jet-ski-ing” with one of the young blonds — has been some of the commentary it has occasioned. The Bossip website headlined the trip: “Style Icon Diane Von Furstenberg’s Hubby Caught Boo’d Up On The Beach With Young Boys.” While I object to the “young boys” part (the guys are well over 18), I’m tickled by the “boo’d up” bit. I pray that you and yours get boo’d up for the coming Christmas week: as a way to distract yourself profanely from the revolting trappings of this based-on-religion holiday.
