Dogs Are Smarter Than Cats
So saeth a new study, which undoubtedly was done by dog lovers. So why are dogs “smarter” than cats? Because they are more social, and have developed a bigger brain. But just as it can be more agreeable to live with a moderately intelligent, less socially needy human than with a demanding genius, so can it be more agreeable to live with a cat than a dog. Of course, I speak as a city dweller; if I had a big house and a big back yard, I might be more inclined to think dogs preferable.
