Fran: Not Dancing With The Stars
I’ve already said my piece about Scorsese’s docu about Fran Lebowitz (pictured), premiering tonight on HBO. All that I want to savor about Miss Fran is contained her her two humor collections published thirty years ago, during an era that Miss Fran is still nostalgic about. Tonight, as her tribute airs, I will be watching “Dancing with the Stars,” or “Skating with the Stars,” or “Eating Pop Tarts with the Stars”: anything with Stars. Stars: the thing that Miss Fran’s mentor, Andy Warhol, said make life worth living.
