Oscars For “127 Hours”? Nah
“127 Hours” — you know, the one about James Franco having to sever his arm on the big screen — opened today to terrific reviews. I look forward to seeing it. However, ain’t no way that the reviews plus strong box office are going to tally Oscars for director Danny Boyle or for Franco. (Nominations? Of course.) Boyle won gold recently for “Slumdog Millionaire” and isn’t about to win again so soon, and Franco is a first-time nominee, and they rarely win, at least not in the Best Actor category.
