Vatican: Carla Bruni Not Welcome
Pope Benedict XVI told President Nicolas Sarkozy of France that his wife Carla was not welcome on his recent visit to the Vatican as Italian media might publish racy photos of the French first lady. This Pope and his predecessors have met with all manner of dictators over the years (and with La Carla once before, as you see above), but the Vatican’s worried about a former sexpot? I suppose they’re consistent, at least.
