“Normal Heart” Has Starry Cast
Anyone who lives in New York or is going to be in New York on October 18 should get themselves a ticket to a benefit performance of Larry Kramer’s seminal AIDS play, “The Normal Heart.” Cast includes Victor Garber, John Benjamin Hickey, and Joe Mantello, who usually directs but is taking a break from counting his “Wicked” millions and going back to acting. Joel Grey, who starred in the original off-Broadway production, is helming this benefit for the Actors Fund and Friends in Deed. Tickets can be purchased by phone at 212 221-7300, ext. 133. Ryan Murphy, co-creator of “Glee,” is still planning a movie version of this play, perhaps starring Mark Ruffalo.
