Frenchie Is A Plagiarist: Eh, Bien?
Michel Houellebecq (pictured), France’s best-known living novelist but barely a blip in the U.S., admits that for his new novel, “La Carte et le Territoire,” he lifted passages verbatim from Wikipedia. But it isn’t Wikipedia, he insists. It’s part of his technique. And you know what? Nobody seems to care that he’s a plagiarist.
