Money Doesn’t Buy Happiness: Hah!
“Money is surprisingly bad at making us happy.” That’s the conclusion of some fancy study reported in Wired. Whenever I hear that sentiment, I think of an exchange from Richard Greenberg’s under-rated play, “Hurrah At Last.” When one character says “Money can’t buy happiness,” another replies: “But it upgrades despair so beautifully.”
