Adams’ “West Side Story” Songplay
John Adams‘ score for the new movie “I Am Love” is one of the many reasons to see that flick. (It’s the best new film out right now, although I haven’t seen Winter’s Bone.” As for “Cyrus,” forget it!) Adams’ “Ceiling/Sky,” a 1995 ‘songplay’ inspired by “West Side Story,” is getting a new performance.
