Halle Berry To Broadway?
Meryl Streep may be too old for the movie version of “August: Osage County” (see below), but Samuel L. Jackson, 61, isn’t too old to play Martin Luther King, Jr., who died at 39, on Broadway. I’m talking about the play “The Mountaintop,” coming to New York in the fall. But the real news today is that the producers want Halle Berry to star opposite him. What man, woman, or child — what sentient human being? — doesn’t want Miss Halle to star opposite him?
