Memorial Day TV Marathons
It’s Memorial Day, and unless you’re masochistic enough to see “Sex and the City 2” or “Prince of Persia” you’re going to find yourself, sooner or later, at home in front of the boob tube, where, it seems, the only choices today are marathons. There’s a Meg Ryan marathon (movies before she ruined the face with plastic surgery) and a Clint Eastwood marathon (marathons before he became an artiste) and on and on. About the only thing that isn’t running in marathon form today is “The Golden Girls” on Hallmark, and that’s probably because Betty White is ubiquitous so we could probably use a little break from Rose and Blanche and Dorothy. However you spend the holiday today, remember the troops and their sacrifices.
