Bus Drivers’ Loo Wins Design Prize
The Royal Institute of British Architects has announced the winners of its 2010 architecture awards for projects by British architects in the UK and abroad. Almost a fifth of the buildings listed are schools and education projects, yet as a measure of the recession’s impact, the major museums and airports that graced the list in recent years are few. In their place are more modest projects, including a bus drivers’ toilet in Dagenham (pictured).
