Daytime Emmys Love Ellen
“The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the chatfest many believe has the potential to follow “The Oprah Winfrey Show” as daytime’s new champ, garnered the most talkshow nominations for the 37th annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
Noms were announced Wednesday in New York by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Kudocast will air June 27 on CBS. “Ellen,” which nabbed eight noms, has a chance to pick up its fifth Daytime Emmy as talkshow. Show won four years in row (2004-07) but has been trumped the past two years by “Rachael Ray.”
