New TV Show: Running From Farts?
Ron Howard and Brian Grazer (pictured) have hatched a new reality-TV show. It challenges contestants to escape from big-screen-inspired situations. Of course, these will probably be the typical guy things: outrunning Nazis as they chase you down in the Ardennes Forest or out-warp-speeding Klingons in deep space. I’d much rather see simpler stuff: cowpokes outrunning the fart fumes in the infamous “beans” sequence of Mel Brooks’ “Blazing Saddles” or trying to escape the vomit from the pie-eating wretch in “Stand By Me.”
