“Running”: Neglected Masterpiece?
Director Richard Linklater considers a little-remembered Vincente Minnelli movie, the 1958 “Some Came Running,” to be nearly as important as “Citizen Kane.” I’m glad to know it, and have to confess that I’ve never seen this picture starring Frank Sinatra (whom I usually avoid) and Shirley MacLaine.
