Tilda Swinton: Delicious In “Love”
The new Italian movie “I Am Love,” which I saw last weekend at the New Directors festival in New York, has been racking up raves, deservedly. (NY Times here; Telegraph here). This story of a haute-bourgeoise famille in Milan features the year’s juiciest performance, by Tilda Swinton as a mother having an affair with her son’s friend. (Italian-language trailer here.) The movie has a June release date, and I expect Tilda to score an Oscar nom next year. Not to win, though: she scored too recently for “Michael Clayton” to repeat so soon.
