Bridges Cast In “Rockford” Remake
After what was done recently to the remake of the ’60s TV show “The Prisoner,” I am extremely dubious about the prospects of trying over with programs from the ’60s or ’70s. Still, I feel obliged to keep track of the remake of NBC’s “Rockford Files” remake. (The original show starred the underappreciated James Garner as the rascally private investigator.) In the new project, Beau Bridges will play the father of Dermot Mulroney, who has the Garner role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bridges will tackle the gruff, truck-driving paternal role originally portrayed by actor Noah Beery Jr.
