Peter Graves Dead At 83
Peter Graves, the tall, stalwart actor likely best known for his portrayal of Jim Phelps, leader of a gang of special agents who battled evil conspirators in the long-running television series “Mission: Impossible,” died Sunday. I’ll remember him less for “MI” than for his cameo on “The Golden Girls” as a mommy-coddled newscaster and as a pilot in “Airplane” who tries to interest a little boy in talk of naked men.
