Who’s Scarier: Gabby Or Cicely?
Miss Cicely Tyson was nominated for Best Actress in 1972 for “Sounder.” Miss Gabourey Sidibe (when will John Waters put her in a movie?) is nommed this year for “Precious.” Both were, as they say in Winnipeg, out and aboot this week at pre-Oscar parties in Hollywood. I admire them both for acting, but, as the female prisoner says about the outrageously got-up matron Hope Emerson in “Caged”: “If that’s what dames is wearin’ outside, I’m glad I’m in here.”
