“We Are The World”: Haiti
Who’s three-second snippet (Streisand’s? Pink’s? Jacko’s?) do you like best? Musically, it’s frustrating. I think of Samuel Johnson‘s remark: “Knowledge was divided among the Scots, like bread in a besieged town, to every man a mouthful, to no man a bellyful.” Also, I’m allergic to too-cool-for-school Jamie Foxx, who introduces the video and who fancies himself a singer. But it’s all for a still-very-pressing cause, Haiti, so critics like me should go hang themselves!
