France is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the death of Nobel-winning writer Albert Camus (pictured) this week with television programs, radio commemorations — and a typical French-intellectual controversy. The country’s President, Nicolas Sarkozy, wants to move Camus’ remains to hallowed ground, the Pantheon in Paris. But left-wingers are adamant: how dare a right-wing politician move the ashes of a left-wing writer?
