“Watchmen” Writer On Erotic Art

Venus-of-Willendorf-s-001Alan Moore, the author of the graphic novels Watchmen and From Hell, is a writer more famous for his weird comic-book imagination than his expertise in art history. But that hasn’t prevented him from just publishing “25,000 Years of Erotic Freedom,” a richly illustrated essay about such works of art as the Venus of Willendorf (pictured) and photos by Vanessa Beecroft.
