A LemonWade reader named “Sondheim Aficionado” has responded to today’s news that director Trevor Nunn is planning a stripped-down version of “Follies”: In Trevor Nunn’s new scaled-down version of “Hello, Dolly!,” fresh off the Chocolate Factory’s conveyor belt, the famous “Harmonia Gardens” scene will take place in a diner. Nunn’s revival promises to be a big hit, topping even his new version of the classic “1776,” a tight four-actor ensemble piece starring Patrick Stewart in the role of Congress.
