Hugh: Theatre Bad; But Films Better?
Hugh Grant may be right about the trouble with live theatre: watching a play is enjoyable “about one time in 20.” But now that I’ve seen most of the holiday multiplex releases I’d have to say that the same could be said about movies: there’s only one picture (“Avatar”) that everyone I know enjoyed, and a hell of a lot of them (“Sherlock Holmes,” “Nine,” “Morgans,” “It’s Complicated”) that many of my friends and family fairly loathed.
