Too Much Time On Their Hands?
The huffing and puffing about the images purveyed about Italian-Americans by MTV’s “Jersey Shore” is doing nothing but boosting the show’s ratings. Latest huffer: the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus, which says the show promotes derogatory ethnic stereotypes and is “wildly offensive.” The program is silly, vulgar, occasionally amusing. But the most offensive thing about it is the amount of hair product the guys wear. Chill out, people.
