“Avatar”: The Opposition Begins?
Now that “Avatar” has proven itself at the box office and is being talked of as the front-runner for Oscar, there have to be naysayers entering the game. Conservative NY Times columnist Ross Douthat is one of the first of them from pointy-headed brigade, although his quibbles are more intellectual than substantive. Anyone who uses atheists Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris in his argument probably isn’t trying to appeal to the popcorn crowd.
