“Up In The Air”: My Review

georgeclooneyI finally caught up to “Up in the Air” this week. A smooth first forty-five minutes, with George Clooney proving once again he’s a worthy successor to Cary Grant and Vera Farmiga, as his love interest, the kind of grown-up woman Hollywood used to manufacture in droves. About two-thirds of the way in, however, the movie swerves into mellow land (i.e. northern Wisconsin) and the plane starts to do a nose dive. The flick’s a little too pleased with its non-commercial ending. I give it a B+.
