From grime and skiffle to the sound of a vacuum cleaner, Mica Levi’s debut album (with Micachu and the Shapes) crafted pop out of the most unlikely materials. The CD is making a lot of end-of-year best-of lists. I’m a little puzzled as to why when I listen to songs like the video above.
