Fifty years after its Broadway premiere, an iconic musical has been “discovered” by the French. Yes, I’m talking about “The Sound of Music,” or, as it’s called in Paree, “La Mélodie du Bonheur.” Musicals in general have been taken up in France — they’re even doing “A Little Night Music” in February and “Gypsy” down the line.
