Not Fun Dumb; Just Dumb Dumb
Last night, some tired friends and I went channel-surfing. We landed on “Jersey Shore,” MTV’s latest reality fest for idiots. The idiots this time? New Jersey goombas who bounce around beachfront kitchens and bedrooms in a story-less narrative that provides proof, once again, as to why America leads the world in taste-free television. The Jerseyites came up with content-less catchphrases that even Andy Warhol at his most catatonic couldn’t have found funny. My favorite goomba utterance: “I feel like this is beneath me. I’m a bartender. I do great things.”
