“Invictus”: An Early Review
David Ansen of Newsweek has posted a review of “Invictus,” the Clint Eastwood movie starring Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela (I wish Freeman would call a halt to playing great men, up to and including God), and Matt Damon as a South African rugby player. Ansen’s money quote: Invictus “does not take us deep inside any of its characters…yet the lapses fade in the face of such a soul-stirring story.”
