The All-Female “Ernest In Love”
I’m happy that off-Broadway’s Irish Rep will give a new production to “Ernest In Love,” based on Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest.” But I have to confess that the staging of this 1960 musical that I’d really like to have seen was from the fantastic all-girl Japanese troupe, Takarazuka, in 2005.
