Errol Flynn: Castro’s Amigo


Errol Flynn was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars in the 1930s and 40s, his box office propelled by swashbuckling classics like “Captain Blood” the “The Charge of the Light Brigade” (video above). Offscreen, dubious biographies have purveyed an image of him as a Nazi sympathizer. New evidence, however, suggests that he was in fact more of a lefty: in his last years, Flynn spent time in Cuba with Castro’s rebels.
