Pianist Alicia de Larrocha Dies At 86
Alicia de Larrocha, the teeny-tiny Spanish pianist with a technique as big as Mighty Mouse, died this past weekend. I saw her perform at least twice, and marveled always at her ability to shuffle onstage, suggesting lassitude, then explode at the keyboard. Video above: Mozart concerto in B flat.
