Berlusconi Shames Italy Again
I feel sorry for the Italians: with their decadent, utterly corrupt prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, they are roughly in the same position that American was during the reign of George W. Bush: a country shamed before the world for the seeming inability of many of its citizens to recognize the hollowness of its leader. Berlusconi, shown above being given a merely cordial greeting last week by Michelle Obama, this weekend referred to the Obamas as “sun-tanned,” a repeat of a gaffe he made last year.
