Michael Moore & His Contradictions
Michael Moore’s “Capitalism: A Love Story” opens today. Once again, the right is slicing him up and the left is crying “Masterpiece!” A screening in New York the other night was filled with contradictions: wealthy capitalists watching Moore’s movie, which knocks the big guy and stands up for the little guy, and then listening to Moore being interviewed by ultra-elitist Tina Brown. In the movie, Moore reveals that his quasi-socialism is related to his deep Roman Catholic faith: another contradiction?
