Pavement To Reunite: Whoo-Hoo!
Pavement, one of my favorite indie-rock bands of the 1990s, will reunite for a series of performances next year. On September 21, 2010, they will perform in Central Park. The band, whose lyrics traffic in deadpan, commented, ““Things worked out really well when Diana Ross played Central Park in 1983, and we have no reason to suspect Pavement’s return to the live arena won’t generate similar headlines.†If you don’t know why that statement is ironic, click here.
