What’s Next For Stritch — Cleopatra?
Elaine Stritch will star in an upcoming Off-Broadway production of Ben Andron’s play “White’s Lies,” scheduled to play New York in Spring 2010. The play focuses on Joe White, who is handsome, charming, has a great career and a killer smile that manages to land him a different girl every night. But his life changes when his firecracker of a mother tells him that she’s got cancer and her dying wish is to have a grandchild. Presumably, Stritch is playing the mother. Isn’t she getting a little old (she’s 84) to be playing the mother of a young man?
