Robin To Play Susan In Film?
When talk emerged this past spring about who should play Susan Boyle in the movies the most conspicuous candidate was Demi Moore (I wanted Kathy Bates). Now a new candidate has spoken out: Robin Williams. He tells an interviewer: ‘”I’ve been asked if I want to play Susan in the movie. I think she’s incredible. That clip of her singing on “Britain’s Got Talent” was extraordinary. So inspiring. It was quite a shock when she began to sing.’ If you think that Williams has essayed drag already to play a doughy Scottish matron, you’re right: “Mrs. Doubtfire.”
