Here we go again: another set of suckers is trying to put together a biopic of legendary 1960s guitarist Jimi Hendrix. Why are these greenhorns foolhardy? Because the gatekeeper of Hendrix’s estate, his ultra-Christian stepsister Janie Hendrix, will never give permission to use the Great One’s music unless the story of his life is sanitized of drugs and sex — you know, the things that make the otherwise ear-shattering rock ‘n’ roll scene intriguing. Rotsa ruck, suckers!
