Oscar & Emily Blunt’s “Victoria”
The Academy Awards traditionally love nominating Brits playing queens (of all kinds) for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress. So we should not count out the Best Actress chances of Emily Blunt (pictured), who plays the lead role in “The Young Victoria,” which has just been chosen to close next month’s influential Toronto Film Festival. (The two near locks in the category right now are Carey Mulligan, for “An Education,” and Meryl Streep, for “Julie and Julia.”)
