Yuks = Bucks? “Funny People” Opens
“Funny People,” the Judd Apatow-directed, Adam Sandler-starring geekfest, opens today. It’s gotten some rave reviews — mostly from schlubby middle-aged critics. On this one, however, I suspect I’ll agree with EW’s critic Lisa Schwarzbaum, who gave the pic a C- and wrote that “Funny People” is a “furiously anguished — and,
 at 145 unshaped minutes, quantifiably endless — tragi-comedy about a sad showbiz clown and his ilk.”
