Zombies Got No Sense; Monsters Do
Poor Jane Austen. It wasn’t enough that one of her masterpieces was subjected to a fictional mash-up: “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.” Now there’s another: “Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters.” There aren’t many in her slim output left for denigration, so allow me to suggest: “Emma and G.I. Joe Go to Guam,” “Persuasion And The Dog-Faced Boy,” “Mansfield Park And The Creature From The Deep,” and “Northanger Abbey And Horny Priests In Habits.”
