Defense Secretary McNamara Dies
Former Defense Secretary Robert S. McNamara, 93, has died in his sleep. Intricately bound up with the American decisions in the Vietnam War, he had a lot of blood on his hands. Years after the fact, he admitted wrong-doing, though in the 2004 Errol Morris documentary “Fog of War,” which was devoted to McNamara, the Defense Secretary was still rationalizing his decisions.
