Quincy Jones Show: Broadway
Better late than never: Legendary producer Quincy Jones says a project he’s been working on for 33 years is finally coming together. “The Genesis and Evolution of Jazz and Blues” is finally headed to Broadway and will also become a 3-D Pixar film, the New York Daily News reports. Jones says he hopes to work with Lion King director Julie Taymor, whose next project is the upcoming screen adaptation of The Tempest, starring Helen Mirren and Russell Brand. “She’s my baby,” the News quotes Jones as saying of Taymor.
