Whitney “Comeback” CD Gets Date
According to ew.com, Whitney Houston (pictured) will release a new CD on September 1. The album is the singer’s seventh studio collection and her first since 2003’s “One Wish: The Holiday Album.” The new disc has been bloggingly referred to as Whit’s “comeback album,” a label she hates because: 1) it puts pressure on her to come up with a 1991-it’s-the-Super-Bowl-and-she-sings-the-National-Anthem-better-than-anyone-before-or-since-or-ever performance; 2) Whit doesn’t think she ever went away. (Despite the decade-long-black hole known as Bobby Brown.) Call me crazy, but Whitney is still, after Aretha, the Queen.
