“Tale” To Be Broadcast On PBS
The recent Broadway semi-flop “A Tale of Two Cities,” starring the excellent James Barbour (pictured), is going to be recorded this summer in England for PBS broadcast late in December. Let me get this right: “Gypsy” with Patti LuPone, the current Broadway “South Pacific,” among dozens of other high-quality shows recently on Broadway, are not recorded for PBS, but “A Tale of Two Cities” is? I’d like desperately to know what kind of weed PBS executives are smoking.
Hey Brendan. It’s the 150 year anniversary of the book “Tale of Two Cities” that’s why PBS is doing the show.
