No Surprise: Kris Wins “Idol”
The most powerful nation in the world now may have a black President but the most popular show on American television apparently isn’t ready for a gay champion: Adam Lambert. Instead, Kris Allen won the face-off. So, just as last night the best dancer didn’t win “Dancing with the Stars,” so tonight the best singer (Lambert) didn’t win “American Idol.” America likes talent, but only if it’s packaged blandly.
